The next few years will determine how we collaborate—or if we collapse into deeper chaos. AI is here. Social structures are fraying. And if we don’t figure out how to work together, we risk being overwhelmed by the very tools we are creating.

Jongu is my response to this moment.

It’s not just a platform. It’s an experiment. A learning journey. A co-creation space designed to help people collaborate over competition—starting with the most fundamental unit of society: our relationships.

I’ve already hired developers to bring Jongu to life. But the why and how of this project are still evolving, and I want to build it with you.

What is Jongu?

Jongu is a co-creation platform where people can build, play, and learn together. It is structured around five core modules:

1. Jongu Cards – Interactive decks for relationships, personal growth, and storytelling.
2. Jongu Writing – Journaling, collaborative storytelling, and creative exercises.
3. Jongu Learning – AI-assisted, interactive learning experiences.
4. Jongu Creator – Tools to create and share custom content.
5. Jongu Humans – A directory and community hub for creators, coaches, and relationship professionals.

At its heart, Jongu is about secure attachment, creative play, and meaningful connection.

Beyond the Jockey: The Collective Wisdom of the Boiadeiros

Nova Lorraine, in The Jockey on the Horse, reminds us that AI is not an enemy to conquer but a force to harmonize with. A jockey and a horse must learn to work together—only by understanding the power beneath them can they move toward victory.

This is a beautiful metaphor for individual mastery of AI, but our challenge is even bigger. AI is not just one horse—we are guiding an entire herd.

In the vast grasslands of Brazil, no single cowboy alone can steer hundreds of cattle. The boiadeiros (Brazilian cowboys) work as a team, reading the landscape, coordinating their movements, and responding to a force much greater than any one of them. No single Jockey can meet the challenges of our times, but a collective of boiadeiros might.

This is the challenge we now face:

🔹 No single person can “control” it—we must learn to guide it together.
🔹 Our ability to co-create, to build ethical guardrails, and to align AI with human values will define the future of technology—and society itself.

We are not just training individual jockeys—we are learning to be boiadeiros together, developing the shared intelligence and coordination needed to guide these powerful new forces toward human flourishing.

Most digital platforms encourage passive consumption and insecure attachment. We scroll. We compare. We react.

Jongu is different.

It is designed to strengthen human bonds rather than weaken them.

Inspired by Gottman’s Love Lab, Jongu will function as a living experiment—an evolving space where we study what actually works for human connection in the digital age.

Most platforms are built in secret, then unveiled as finished products. Jongu rejects that model.

The EU’s AI regulations recognize that openness leads to more ethical, human-centered technology. I believe the same applies to relationship-building tools.

Instead of waiting for experts to dictate the rules, we can design them together—as a community of learners, creators, and coaches.

The name "Jongu" comes from Jongo, an Afro-Brazilian dance where participants take turns leading and supporting (watch).

It’s a perfect metaphor for collaborative creation—where individual expression thrives within a collective rhythm.
